FAQ
Is Csus2 hard to play? The simplified two-finger version is easy, comparable to many beginner open chords. The standard three-finger version is a little harder than it looks, mainly because the fingers have to arch over two open strings sitting between them rather than because any single stretch is large.
Is Csus2 major or minor? Neither. It has no third, the note that decides major or minor, so it sits in a neutral, unresolved space between the two.
What is the difference between Csus2 and Cadd9? Csus2 replaces the major third with the second, so it has no third at all (C, D, G). Cadd9 keeps the major third and adds the second as an extra color note (C, E, G, D). Cadd9 still sounds clearly major. Csus2 does not.
